I can't say for sure, I'm sure there will be one in the area. I monitor the Huntsville Time employment section and the Chamber of Commerce's Web sites and post updates as I find them so you can always check back here later.

My husband is part of the BRAC. He is civil service, not military. If I move with him, I will have to give up my career here, in Northern Virginia. Since learning about the BRAC, we have received very little assistance in helping me to find employment in the Huntsville area. I have applied to several jobs using the USA Jobs website over the past two years, since learning of the impending move. In addition, I have taken additional college credit classes to "strengthen my resume." But I have not yet been successful in obtaining federal employment. In fact, I have been notified several times that I am qualified, but not selected. How frustrating. Is there anyone out there advocating for the spouses of civil servants who are affected by the BRAC?? Is there an office somewhere dedicated to the support of all of the families affected by the BRAC, with family members who would like to continue their careers after the move?? I don't really want to live apart from my husband, but right now it is looking like that is our only choice. Not sure where to turn...any helpful information will be used and appreciated.

To the south of the building site along Martin Road there was a great stand of tall trees. When will architects learn that employees value being able to park in the shade? Now we'll have a lovely building, but a parking lot devoid of shade. It may seem a small thing, but parking with shade can be a great morale booster.

Think the planning for Army buildings only allows 70-80% parking spaces vs. building occupants. Sparkman Center is that way. And no provision for auditorium parking for 'outside' employees coming to presentations.
