B.L. Harbert International wins $114M contract for Redstone Arsenal projects
Birmingham’s B.L. Harbert International LLC said it was awarded a $114 million contract to design and build two facilities at Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the general contractor will design and construct an Army Materiel Command headquarters facility and a U.S. Army Security Assistance Command facility.
Work is schedule to be complete by January 2011, B.L. Harbert officials said.
The defense department said it solicited bids for the project in October of last year and received nine to build the facilities.
B.L. Harbert is Birmingham-based and focuses on government, international, commercial, health care and civil construction around the world.
