The International Baccalaureate offers high quality programs of international education to a worldwide community of schools.
IB Students take rigorous courses in math, science, history, English, electives and foreign language. The classes will include a focus on writing, critical thinking, communications and ethics. Each student is expected to be fluent in a foreign language. IB students can also earn college credit for their classes.
Columbia is the first school in the Huntsville area to get an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Students who live in the Huntsville City Schools District are eligible to apply. The program starts this fall at Columbia High School.
